We introduced The Grand tournament earlier this week, a $1,050 buy-in phased event with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. Now we bring you news of another new addition to the partypoker tournament roster, The Sunday 500.
The Sunday 500 shuffles up and deals at exactly 18:05 BST each Sunday and brings with it a prize pool weighing in at a guaranteed $100,000. This $530 buy-in event has a progressive knockout format where you win at least $125 for each and every opponent you send to the showers.
You receive a generous helping of 500,000 chips for your $530 buy-in, and play to a 12-minute clock where the blinds start at 2,500/5,000/625a. Late registration is open for the first 10 levels before slamming shut two-hours into proceedings. This is also the time when you can no longer take advantage of your single re-entry, so make sure you make your first bullet count or bust out before the end of the 10th level when the blinds will be 7,000/14,000/1,750a.
The inaugural Sunday 500 takes place on June 13 at 18:05 BST and we are excited to see who takes it down. Satellites for The Sunday 500 will hit the partypoker lobby after this week’s Thursday 500 and come with buy-ins of $0.55, $5.50, and $55.
On a slight tangent, The Tuesday 500 becomes a PKO event from June 15. This is to bring it in line with the Thursday 500 and the new Sunday 500.
An Extra Weekender Day 1
The $109 buy-in $100,000 guaranteed Weekender is one of our popular weekend tournaments, so much so that we have added a turbo-structured Day 1 to run a couple of hours before the final day. It shuffles up and deals at 17:05 BST on Sunday with the final day commencing at 19:05 BST.

A Trio of Time Changes
Following feedback from our players, three of our higher stakes tournaments have had a change to their scheduled start times.
The $215 Deepstack now kicks off at 16:05 BST, with the $215 Warrior’s new start time being 17:05 BST. Those of you who love playing in the $320 The 300 need to be ready to jump in from 19:05 BST. The 300 now has a 10-minute clock and a starting stack worth 150 big blinds.
